Aeronautical industry

At the very heart of France’s 3rd aeronautical region

In the Caux Seine agglo area, aeronautics is a sector of excellence, with the leader being the Revima group supported by a network of efficient sub-contractors in the fields of mechanics, metallurgy and boiler making

Normandie AeroEspace (NAE), a Norman network of businesses in the aeronautical, space, defense and security industries also contributes to the vitality of this sector. NAE contributes to the promotion of our area, through cooperative programmes (canvassing, employment-recruitment, R & D) aimed at constantly improving our image as the place to do business in this sector

Backing employment and training

Caux Seine Development is only too aware of what its businesses need. This explains the partnership, signed between Revima and the professional Coubertin de Bolbec high school, to create a specific industrial maintenance training programme. The students are trained to meet the requirements of this state-of-the-art industry, thus ensuring their immediate employability

And of course, don’t forget:  Normandy is France’s 3rd region for the aeronautical industry!

Circular Economy & energy transition

A land of resilience where energy transition is encouraged

Following the arrival in the area of the petrochemical industry in 1933, followed by chemical industries in the 1960s, the area has resolutely turned its attention to the green economy, becoming a pioneer in circular economy along the River Seine with the installation of the first industrial water plant in 1972.

The area’s efforts in favour of the circular economy were given national recognition when the Greater Caen Seine Council was awarded with the Circular Economy Trophy by the French Ministry for Ecological Transition in 2018.

The Caux Seine area is proud to be a land of numerous energy sources : petrochemicals, biomass, photovoltaic, methanisation, wind energy and the development of gas mobility. In addition to these energy sources which are already available and indeed complimentary to them, the Greater Caen Seine Council is also keen to develop hydrogen projects.

Interested in reducing production costs ? Come here and you will !

Numerous existing synergies have already enabled a reduction in production costs and thus contributed to successful energy transition : energy consumption, operating costs, mutualisation of resources, etc. We are also exploring other potential sources of energy efficiency, with for example the recuperation of waste energy . Why not join us ?

Examples of territorial synergies

Facilitating and leading networks within our industrial zones, thus encouraging inter-business exchanges (e.g. : waste recovery tranformed into new materials and /or energy sources, logistical optimisation, vehicle sharing, facility sharing, HR sharing, etc.).

Do you have a project ? If so, contact us.
